Visual Conversations: An Assemblage Studio

This spring, the KMA’s hands-on Learning Center space is transformed into an Assemblage Studio with a wide range of collected art materials and intriguing activities. In conjunction with the exhibition Miniature Worlds: Joseph Cornell, Ray Johnson, Yayoi Kusama, visitors are invited to explore visual conversations in artmaking and experiment with creating collage and assemblage boxes that “talk” to others. Learn how these artists developed their own visual vocabulary and enjoy making symbols to represent yourself, friends, and family. Leave a note on the Learning Center Memory Wall as we celebrate 25 years.
