EXPERIENCE THE WONDER
OF THE LEARNING CENTER
On view July 9 - October 1, 2023: The Bluest of Blues
Learn about and experiment with cyanotypes (a photographic printing process using paper and light) in the Learning Center this summer. Original art from the enchanting picture book The Bluest of Blues: Anna Atkins and the First Book of Photographs, written and illustrated by Fiona Robinson, will be featured. These illustrations as well as the cyanotype collages by artist Wu Chi-Tsung on view in the main galleries are the inspiration for hands-on activities related to cyanotypes, collage art, and nature-themed projects.
ART HISTORY TIMELINE
Look up in the Learning Center to see the 80 silhouettes that form an art timeline. They were selected to represent important art moments around the world and throughout history.
Timeline Cards are photographs of artworks created by people from different cultures and time periods.
