Craft & Connect: Exploring Chinese Calligraphy

Join us for a creative night out! Guest artist Sinrong Chen introduces Chinese calligraphic techniques that explore the movement of the brush and the quality of lines. Participants will learn traditional brushstrokes while creating their own paintings.  

 

Open to experienced artists and curious beginners. Your ticket includes private gallery access, wine and snacks, and all materials. Arrive early to view the current exhibition. 

 

Advanced registration required.  

Members $50 / Non-Members $65 

 

About the instructor: 

Sinrong Chen is an artist and educator specializing in Chinese calligraphy and watercolor painting. She holds BA and MA degrees in Fine Arts from the Chinese Culture University in Taipei and has over twenty years of teaching experience. Chen has taught students of all ages at institutions throughout Westchester as well as workshops at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Through her work she seeks to inspires creativity, connect people with traditional art forms, and deepen appreciation for Asian brush art and watercolor painting.
