Join KMAA’s Monique Ford for drop-in sketching workshops—perfect for both seasoned artists and beginners. Ford will be on hand to offer tips and techniques, and each session will be unique. Basic supplies provided.
Open to adults. Included with admission.
About the Instructor:
Monique Ford is a visual and performing artist. Currently, her body of work focuses on portraiture of the female form. Monique has won notable awards related to her professional career as a painter, including Best in Show- 34th Annual Bedford Art Show and Best in Show- 57th Artists of the Northeast at the Silvermine Arts Center. Collaboration and community are at the heart of her work. Monique received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003 from Plattsburgh State University and her Master of Fine Arts in 2006 from Pratt Institute. Monique resides in Bedford Village, NY, and currently works at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase College and teaches art at Bethany Arts Community and the Katonah Art Center. She also serves as the exhibition chair for the KMAA.
