Experience the Katonah Museum of Art’s new exhibition, Shen Wei: STILL/MOVING before it opens to the public. Shen Wei: STILL/MOVING commemorates thirty years of Shen Wei’s visionary career as a dancer, choreographer, visual artist, and global cultural ambassador. This retrospective, an unprecedented joint presentation between the Katonah Museum of Art and The Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, will illuminate the full scope of the artist’s practice, offering viewers rare access to his paintings, films, new choreographic works, and video highlights of the Shen Wei Dance Arts repertoire.
Join us for a special edition of Artists in Conversation between renowned artist and choreographer Shen Wei and the KMA’s Director and Chief Curator Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe for a discussion on the artist’s multifaceted artistic practice spanning nearly fifty years.
