Educators’ Preview & Workshop

Preview the new exhibition, Shen Wei: STILL/MOVING, with a guided tour and professional development workshop for educators. Special guest educator Grace Hu will share strategies to integrate Shen Wei’s art into classroom teaching. Participants will leave with curriculum-ready tools to foster cultural understanding, inspire creativity, and bridge global perspectives in their classrooms. 

Grace Hu, born in Shanghai, China, is an educator, researcher, and advocate for culturally sustaining teaching. A full-time art teacher at Avenues: The World School in New York City and Ed.D. candidate at Teachers College, Columbia University, her research focuses on developing critical multicultural curriculum resources to integrate Chinese art and culture into U.S. K–12 classrooms. Grace also serves as a Teacher Advisor for the National Museum of Asian Art, contributes to the Teaching China with the Smithsonian website, and has presented nationally, including at the National Art Education Association.
