Ali Banisadr: The Alchemist Members Preview & Breakfast

March 16 2025 10:00am - 12:00pm

Join the KMA for a special members-only preview of Ali Banisadr: The Alchemist. View the exhibition before it opens to the public, mingle with fellow KMA Members, and enjoy treats from LMNOP Bakery. Attendees are welcome to stay for the 12:00 PM program Artists in Conversation: Ali Banisadr and Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe.

The first major U.S. museum survey of contemporary artist Ali Banisadr, this landmark exhibition encompasses nearly twenty years of the artist’s singular practice. Banisadr creates complex, turbulent worlds rich with references from across art, history, philosophy, world events, and mythology – as well as references to our own tempestuous times. An illustrated catalogue, distributed by Yale University Press, accompanies the exhibition. Light refreshments will be served.
