KMA Adult Courses: Photography, History, and Fashion

November 13 2024 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Organized in collaboration with art historian and curator Dr. David E. Little, this three-program series examines the history and impact of photography in the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on fashion photography. Exploring leading photographers, from Edward Steichen and Richard Avedon to Guy Bourdin and Annie Leibovitz, participants will learn how innovations across photography, media, and the editorial process have changed how we view fashion, history, and culture today.

On November 13, Dr. Little will moderate a conversation with influential Vanity Fair editor David Friend and acclaimed photographer Gillian Laubabout the relationship between photography and celebrity fashion.

October 23, November 13, 2024; and January 15, 2025, 6:00 – 7:00 PM
