Family Day: Symbols, Stories, and Self

Blast off for a day of family fun at the Katonah Museum of Art’s next Family Day!
Join artist Damien Davis, whose work is featured in The Pollack Family Learning Center, for a collaborative kinetic sculpture project bursting with vibrant colors and magical moving parts. Creative activities will be happening all around the KMA including decorating rocket ships, astronaut buttons, a cozy story corner, and more. Delicious treats from Elias Wood Fired Pizza (cash and Venmo only) and Penny Lick Ice Cream are available for purchase.
All ages welcome! Registration recommended.
KMA Members: Free. Non-members: Adults $12. Seniors, students, and children (12 and under) $6.

Damien Davis (b. 1984) is a Newark-based artist whose work has been showcased at prominent institutions including the Museum of Arts and Design, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Davis was formerly Curator of the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art & Storytelling in Harlem and is currently the Residency + Programs Manager at Project for Empty Space and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sculpture at Purchase College (SUNY). His work has been profiled in Frieze Magazine, The Guardian, Hyperallergic, the New York Times, and Vulture.
