Programs for Children and Families

Children and family workshops enhance each exhibition. Interactive tours inspire family groups to experiment with materials and techniques and to experience the fun of artistic exploration together.

In the Learning Center
The Learning Center has been designed to encourage children to explore their creativity. It is a rich visual and interactive environment where materials of all kinds are available. Families are invited to drop in during Museum hours. (During special Museum events and workshops, the Learning Center may not be available. Please call ahead.)

Tuesdays for Tots

A course of four sessions will introduce both the young artist and the adult caregiver to the imaginative use of different art materials. Children will work with paint, collage, and sculpture, developing ideas for creating art at home.
Reservations required. Ages 3 to 5 with an adult.
Visit our events calendar for upcoming sessions

Art Adventures

Art Adventures is a child-friendly blend of art history, art appreciation, and art project. The current exhibition will be the starting point for this hands-on approach to looking at, understanding, and creating art.
