Our Mission

The Katonah Museum of Art encourages the enjoyment, appreciation, and study of the visual arts. The Museum presents diverse exhibitions that explore ideas about art, culture, and society. The Museum's rich resources are a superb learning environment for all ages and educational levels. In an increasingly complex society inundated with visual stimulation, the Museum sees its goals– teaching visual literacy and encountering primary objects–not just as an opportunity, but as a special responsibility. We are proud to be a forum for ideas in the region. The Katonah Museum of Art brings art to life.
